Overview
Survival Hospital is a newly established private hospital registered as a District-level facility in line with the Private Hospital (Regulation) Act (Cap 151). The hospital has launched major units including Pharmacy, Laboratory, Labour & Delivery, Theatre, RCH, Maternity, Radiology, Emergency, Neonatal, Mortuary, and In-Patient Wards. It offers a conducive working environment with reliable access to roads, water, and electricity. The hospital is seeking self-motivated professionals to work with patients in the roles below.
1) Medical Attendant — 4 Posts
Duty Station: Survival Hospital
Reporting to: Nursing Officer In-Charge
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist nurses and doctors in providing patient care.
Maintain cleanliness of wards, beds, and equipment.
Help patients with mobility, feeding, bathing, and daily activities.
Safely transfer and position patients.
Ensure proper waste disposal and infection prevention.
Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Certificate in Medical Attendant / Nursing Attendant or related health support training from a recognized institution.
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years in a hospital/health facility setting (patient care and housekeeping experience is an added advantage).
Knowledge & Skills
Basic IPC (Infection Prevention & Control).
Patient care techniques and hospital procedures.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work under minimal supervision with compassion and patience.
Physical fitness and readiness to assist with patient handling.
2) Cashier — 4 Posts
Duty Station: Survival Hospital
Reporting to: Accountant
Duties & Responsibilities
Receive patient payments and issue receipts.
Prepare daily cash summaries and reports.
Accurately post transactions in the system.
Maintain proper records of all financial transactions.
Handle petty cash and ensure accountability.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Diploma/Certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field from a recognized institution.
Experience
1–2 years as a cashier or in accounting/finance (experience in a hospital/healthcare facility is an added advantage).
Knowledge & Skills
Good grasp of accounting principles and cash-handling procedures.
Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
Strong numerical/analytical skills; high accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
3) Secretary — 3 Posts
Duty Station: Survival Hospital
Reporting to: Medical Director
Duties & Responsibilities
Receive, prepare, and organize correspondence, memos, and reports.
Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain calendars.
Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
Answer calls, receive visitors, and direct communications appropriately.
Ensure timely communication and information dissemination.
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent) in Secretarial Studies, Office Administration, or a related field.
Experience
2–3 years in office administration/secretarial work (healthcare/hospital experience is an added advantage).
Knowledge & Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong organization and time-management; attention to detail; confidentiality.
Ability to multitask and work independently.
