Katika Tanzania, Baraza la Taifa la Elimu ya Ufundi Stadi (National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training – NACTVET, hapo awali NACTE) husajili na kukagua vyuo vya afya vinavyotoa elimu ya ngazi ya cheti (Certificate) na diploma, ikijumuisha vyuo vinavyomilikiwa na Serikali (Government). Wahitimu wa vyuo hivi wanaweza kupata sifa za kitaaluma zinazotambuliwa kitaifa vinavyowezesha kazi kama wauguzi, wahudumu wa kliniki, wapimaji wa maabara, na kadhalika.

Kumbuka Muhimu
Vyuo vya afya vimesajiliwa na NACTVET: Hii ina maana kwamba vyuo vinakidhi viwango vya kitaaluma vinavyohitajika nchini Tanzania.
Serikali ina vyuo vya afya vilivyomilikiwa moja kwa moja au kwa ushirikiano wa Serikali za mikoa na wilaya: mfano vyuo vya mafunzo ya wauguzi, afya ya mazingira, na waliobobea katika tiba ya kliniki.

Ili kujiunga na vyuo vya afya vya serikali kwa diploma:
Hitaji kwa kawaida ni cheti cha darasa la nne (Form Four / CSEE) kwa mafanikio mazuri, hasa katika Sayansi (Chemistry, Biology) na Kiingereza.
Fanya maombi kupitia Mfumo wa Udahili wa NACTVET (CAS) wakati wa kufungua dirisha la udahili.
Angalia mahitaji maalum ya kila chuo kwa kozi husika.
